Troubleshooting tips for camera access, gallery uploads, and more.

01

Allowing Camera Access

The flshbckz viewfinder needs camera access to capture photos. Here is how to allow it on your device.

On your first visit

  • When you open the camera page, your browser will show a permission prompt asking for camera access.
  • Tap Allow to grant access. The viewfinder will start immediately.
  • If you tap Block by mistake, tap Try Again on the error screen and choose Allow when prompted.

Requirements

  • A secure connection (HTTPS) is required. The camera will not work on plain HTTP (except localhost for development).
  • Your device must have a working camera (front or rear).
  • Desktop browsers support camera access through an external webcam or built-in camera.

If the prompt does not appear

  • Make sure you are on a secure connection (HTTPS). The camera API is not available on insecure pages.
  • Check that no other app or tab is currently using your camera.
  • If you previously blocked camera access, you will need to revoke the block in your browser settings (see the "Revoking Camera Access" section below).
03

Clearing Browser Cache

If you are experiencing issues with the camera page or the app behaving unexpectedly, clearing your browser's cache and site data often resolves the problem.

Chrome (Desktop)

  • Click the lock icon (or information icon) in the address bar.
  • Select Cookies and site data → Clear data.
  • Or go to Settings → Privacy and Security → Clear browsing data. Select "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files."

Chrome (Android)

  • Open Chrome, tap the three-dot menu → Settings.
  • Go to Privacy and security → Clear browsing data.
  • Select "Cookies and site data" and "Cached images and files," then tap Clear data.

Safari (iPhone / iPad)

  • Open Settings → Safari.
  • Tap Clear History and Website Data.
  • Note: This will sign you out of most websites and clear your browsing history.

Safari (Mac)

  • Go to Safari → Settings (or Preferences) → Privacy.
  • Click Manage Website Data, search for flshbckz, and click Remove.
  • Alternatively, go to the Develop menu → Empty Caches (enable the Develop menu in Advanced settings first).
04

Revoking Camera Access

Camera permission is controlled by your browser, not by flshbckz. You can revoke or reset it at any time through your browser settings.

Chrome (Desktop & Android)

  • Click the lock icon (or information icon) in the address bar.
  • Find Camera in the site permissions list.
  • Set it to Block to revoke, or Ask to re-enable the prompt on your next visit.
  • After changing the setting, refresh the flshbckz page for the change to take effect.

Safari (iPhone / iPad / Mac)

  • iOS/iPadOS: Go to Settings → Safari → Camera → select Block or Ask.
  • Mac: Go to Safari → Settings → Websites → Camera. Find flshbckz and choose Block or Ask.

Firefox (Desktop & Android)

  • Click the lock icon in the address bar.
  • Next to Camera, click the X to remove the saved permission, or change the dropdown to Block.
  • Refresh the page to apply the change.
